If you’ve searched for mods, you’ve probably seen both names: Melon Playground and Melon Sandbox. Here’s the short version — they’re the same game.
What happened
The game originally launched as Melon Playground and was later renamed to Melon Sandbox. The gameplay — a physics ragdoll sandbox where you spawn characters, weapons and objects — stayed the same. Only the name changed.
Do old mods still work?
Yes. Mods made for Melon Playground work in Melon Sandbox, because it’s the same engine and mod format. You may occasionally see a mod that needs updating for the latest game version, but the vast majority work fine.
How to get mods for the current version
